Our Research Focus: Overcoming the challenges of our time
As a global leader in chemical R&D, BASF develops solutions for a sustainable future. Our research helps secure safe, high-quality food, advances cleaner and safer mobility through battery materials, and supports a circular economy with biobased products and new recycling processes. We also drive climate-smart production by improving energy efficiency, expanding renewable energy use and developing CO2-free technologies such as methane pyrolysis. Across hundreds of projects worldwide, our researchers help customers meet changing needs, regulations and sustainability goals.
