SystemX, the only IRT in Île-de-France in the field of digital engineering of future systems, was certified on February 1, 2012 as part of the Future Investment Program (PIA). SystemX, unique IRT en Île-de-France dans le domaine de l’ingénierie numérique des systèmes du futur, a été labellisé le 1er février 2012 dans le cadre du Programme d’Investissements d’Avenir (PIA). Ce programme, piloté par le Commissariat Général à l'Investissement (CGI), a été mis en place par l'Etat dans le but de soutenir l’innovation en France.
Les activités de l’institut de recherche technologique SystemX s’articulent autour de 4 programmes de recherche :
• « Industrie Agile » ou la transformation numérique du métier de l’ingénieur.
• « Transport Autonome » ou la sécurisation de l’intelligence embarquée du véhicule autonome.

Basé sur le plateau de Paris-Saclay, l’IRT SystemX se positionne comme un accélérateur de la transformation numérique. Ses projets de recherche couvrent les enjeux scientifiques et technologiques des filières industrielles transport et mobilité, énergie, sécurité numérique et communications et répondent aux défis que rencontrent les industriels dans les phases de conception, de modélisation, de simulation et d’expérimentation des produits et services futurs, intégrant de plus en plus de technologies numériques.
