CITIA est un centre de ressources et de compétences qui intervient dans le domaine de l’image en mouvement et des industries créatives. A ce titre, CITIA :
- organise plusieurs événements : Festival international du film d'animation, Mifa, des rendez-vous animés à destination du grand public...
- développe un réseau de compétences et un pôle de ressources pour les pros
- contribue au développement économique local en facilitant l'installation et le développement de sociétés liées à l’image par l’animation économique de la filière autour notamment des Papeteries – Image Factory
- propose des formations en adéquation avec les besoins des entreprises
- invite à la découverte de la magie animée pour tous (CITIA exposition).
Elle est portée par la Ville d'Annecy, le Département de la Haute-Savoie, la région Auvergne Rhône-Alpes et l'État.
