Startup Europe is an initiative of the European Commission designed to connect startups, investors, accelerators, entrepreneurs, corporate networks, universities and the media through an array of networks. Furthermore, it intends to connect local startup ecosystems around Europe and enhance their capacity to invest in other international markets. Not less important, it celebrates the European entrepreneurs' success, making it visible and rewarding (e.g. Startup Europe Awards).

A pioneering AI initiative made in Europe has been awarded with the prestigious STEP Seal.
The EU-funded project OpenLLM is building the first family of open-source Large Language Models that cover all official EU languages.
These models - aligned with the European values and in compliance with the AI Act - will be available for commercial, industrial, and public services.

Europe is one step closer to quantum-safe communications.
The agreement signed yesterday by the European Commission and the European Space Agency - ESA aims to develop secure communications networks that will combine quantum technology, terrestrial fibre optic and satellite.
The EuroQCI system will boost the security of sensitive data and communications between European governmental institutions, data centres, hospitals, energy grids and other critical infrastructure.
