Die Abwehr von Bedrohungen - etwa durch Terrorismus - ist auf intelligente Lagedarstellungen angewiesen. Fortschrittliche Tracking- und Datenfusionsmethoden werten Daten aus Netzwerken unterschiedlicher Sensoren aus und erhöhen so das Lagebewusstsein. Robotersysteme liefern auch dann noch Daten, wenn Einsätze für Menschen zu gefährlich sind.

Robuste und sichere Kommunikationssysteme
Für moderne Kriseneinsätze entwickeln wir robuste Netze, die selbst bei problematischer Funkausbreitung zuverlässig arbeiten. Zuverlässige Methoden klassifizieren Sender auch unter schwierigen Bedingungen. Die Sicherheit kritischer Netzinfrastrukturen ist Schwerpunkt der Cyber-Defense-Forschung.
