Initiatives et Cité, Union d’économie sociale (UES), a été créée en 2010 par des entreprises de l’économie sociale et solidaire (ESS) et du développement local responsable.
L’objectif de ce regroupement est :
- la mutualisation (achats, fonctions, compétences) entre ses membres,
- la commercialisation d’offres en commun (formations, prestations diverses) par ses membres,
- la création de projets ayant des activités économiques propres et générant des coopérations (par exemple : l’incubateur de projets d’utilité sociale Évident! créé en 2018, l’initiative et la création du Bazaar St-So ouvert en 2020, la création du BOC pour partager des bureaux entre SCOP en 2022).
Les entreprises actuellement membres d’Initiatives et Cité sont implantées en métropole lilloise et ont un rayonnement régional. Elles exercent chacune des métiers visant le développement de projets d’utilité sociale : du conseil, de la formation, de l’expertise comptable, de la communication...
