    Professional haptic devices

A high-tech company based in France, HAPTION designs manufactures and sells haptic devices with professional quality, suited to the needs of its customers, both industrial and academic. Haptics is a new productivity tool for the industry. Using force-feedback, it is possible to simulate on the digital mock-up all operations needed for the new product, as early as the design stage, and without physical prototypes. Assembly/disassembly tasks, maintenance, and all-day use can be tested and rehearsed on a virtual prototype. Our products provide force-feedback on all 6 degrees-of-freedom (translations and rotations). Only 6-dof force-feedback enables realistic interaction between 3D objects.

    Professional haptic devices

HAPTION designs, manufactures and sells hardware and software solutions based on force-feedback. We operate in four market segments: transport industry (automotive and aeronautics), nuclear industry, academic research, and medical devices. In the transport industry, we supply solutions for the early simulation of assembly and maintenance operations. In the nuclear industry, our products are used in the teleoperation of robotic equipment. In the case of academic research, our technology is at the core of human-computer interaction paradigms. Finally, for the medical sector we provide means to learn manual skills by rehearsing them on virtual patients.

On the software side, we developed plugins that allow you to work straight into CATIA V5 & V6, DELMIA V5 & V6, Solidworks from Dassault Systèmes, and Process Simulate and Classic Jack from Siemens. Moreover, thanks to our partners, you can also use our haptic devices inside Worlviz, Unity3D, Techviz. Our reference customers are: PSA Peugeot Citroën, Volkswagen Toyota (Japan and Australia), University College of London, Areva...
