The Technology Center Lübeck (TZL) is a joint venture of Lübeck-based industry to promote innovation, knowledge transfer and startups.

Since 1986, we have been providing a cooperative working environment for innovative startups and established technology companies in Schleswig-Holstein. From our co-working space to business offices and room for laboratories or production – we allow startups and fledging companies to grow together with their business.

More than 50,000 square meters of professional business premises are available in 20 buildings at 3 location at favorable rental conditions and with supplementary infrastructure and services. Furthermore, as a one-stop moderating agency for its tenants and project partners, the TZL fosters the collaboration between companies and universities, initiates and accompanies technology transfer projects and acts as an incubator for new business ideas. The TZL initiates and supports a large number of research and cooperation projects as a project and network partner in order to promote ideas and innovations across borders such as GATEWAY49 StartUp Accelerator, StartUp SH or Innovative Hochschule and INTERREG-projects like Bildungsregion (with Denmark), Fehmarn Belt Innovation (with Denmark), Baltic Sea.

The TZL is centrally located on the Science Campus Lübeck, which provides an excellent environment for innovative startups and companies. Hardly any other location has such a concentrated and connected research and science landscape in the fields of medical technology, biotechnology and information technology.
