Depuis le 1er janvier 2017, la nouvelle intercommunalité exerce les compétences essentielles à la structuration de l'espace communautaire des 40 communes membres. Grand Poitiers souhaite développer une communauté conviviale autour des informations diffusées sur ses réseaux sociaux, communauté qui se développe par l’interaction, le partage de commentaires, la réponse à des questions posées par les usagers ou le dialogue entre les internautes. Il y a lieu que cet espace ouvert à tous reste un espace d’expression agréable et bienveillant avec un dialogue courtois et constructif. Pour ce faire, une charte d’utilisation et de modération des réseaux sociaux s'applique sur les pages gérées par Grand Poitiers.
