OUR MISSION, TO RESTORE THE BALANCE BETWEEN FORESTS AND HUMANS
Today, forests occupy nearly 1/3 of the Earth's surface and are the largest reserve of terrestrial biodiversity on the planet. Intimately linked to the cycle of life, they have seen the birth of millennia of human civilizations and carry within them the very conditions of our existence.
By providing us with water, food and clean air, shelter and food, they generate us, shape us and surround us. They guarantee our future. However, every year, 10 million hectares of forests disappear at the hands of Man.
At Cœur de Forêt, we believe in a future where forests and humans can live in harmony. We want to rethink relationships based on cooperation and solidarity rather than on human exploitation and the depletion of natural resources. We promote sustainable forest management that provides the keys to harmonious human development.

Nous sommes une association française qui agit pour la justice environnementale et sociale en refondant l’équilibre précieux entre forêts et humains. Pour protéger les forêts et vivre en harmonie, nous œuvrons depuis plus de 15 ans à régénérer notre lien avec la forêt en la comprenant et en créant les bases de cette coexistence.
Cœur de Forêt agit sur le terrain, auprès des populations, pour éradiquer la dégradation des forêts à sa racine, en donnant à chacun le pouvoir d’agir pour leur préservation.
Convaincus qu’une alternative à la déforestation est possible, nous accompagnons les populations vers une valorisation économique qui préserve les forêts et favorise le développement humain. Nous refusons les idées préconçues et n’hésitons pas à sortir des sentiers battus pour construire les solutions adaptées à la réalité des enjeux. Notre priorité est d’agir concrètement sur le terrain pour créer ensemble l’élan d’un changement positif.

Occupant aujourd’hui près d’1/3 de la surface terrestre, les forêts constituent la plus grande réserve de biodiversité terrestre de la planète. Intimement liées au cycle de la vie, elles ont vu naitre des millénaires de civilisations humaines et portent en elles les conditions-mêmes de notre existence.
En nous fournissant eau, alimentation et air pur, le gîte et le couvert, elles nous engendrent, nous façonnent et nous entourent. Elles garantissent notre avenir. Pourtant, chaque année, 10 millions d’hectares de forêts disparaissent de la main de l’Homme.
Chez Cœur de Forêt, nous croyons en un futur où la forêt et l’humain pourront vivre en harmonie. Nous voulons repenser des relations fondées sur la coopération et la solidarité plutôt que sur l’exploitation humaine et l’épuisement des ressources naturelles. Nous promouvons une gestion durable des forêts qui donne les clés d’un développement humain harmonieux.
