Eomaia est une start-up créée en 2022 qui conçoit un dispositif médical visant à exprimer le colostrum en milieu hospitalier.
Le colostrum est un concentré immunitaire infiniment précieux pour l’enfant né prématurément. Souvent incapable de s’alimenter au sein, seule l’expression manuelle du colostrum permet aux jeunes mamans de recueillir cet « or liquide » pour leur nourrisson. Pourtant, sujette à de nombreux freins dus à une pratique artisanale pénible, nombre d’enfants prématurés en sont malheureusement privés.
Eomaia souhaite faciliter la pratique de l'expression manuelle du colostrum lors du séjour en maternité en proposant un outil simple, intuitif et minimaliste capable d’atténuer les efforts à fournir par les jeunes mères et le personnel hospitalier.
