Vendée Energie is a Mixed Economy Company (SEM) for the production and distribution of renewable energy created by the Departmental Energy and Equipment Union of Vendée (SyDEV).
A local producer of renewable energy since 2002, Vendée Energie is a Public Limited Company (SA) with a public/private capital of €11.5 million that develops, builds and operates decentralized renewable energy production units (wind, photovoltaic, methanization, etc.).
With a consolidated turnover of €15 million in 2019, Vendée Energie currently operates 8 wind farms (65 MW), 7 of which are fully owned. In addition, there are 61 rooftop photovoltaic power plants, 6 of which are ground-based (30 MW). Vendée Energie also supports the development of methanization projects and co-invests alongside farmers in the units.
Building on its feedback, Vendée Energie is now working across the entire value chain and has diversified its activity since 2017 in the production and distribution of BioNGV and then green Hydrogen, thus contributing to a controlled valorization of the energy produced in the heart of the territory.

Vendée Energie est une Société d’Economie Mixte (SEM) de production et de distribution d’énergies renouvelables créée par le Syndicat Départemental d’Energie et d’Equipement de la Vendée (SyDEV).
Producteur local d'énergie renouvelable depuis 2002, Vendée Energie est une Société Anonyme (SA) d'un capital public/privé de 11,5M€ qui développe, construit et exploite des unités de production d'énergies renouvelables décentralisées (éolien, photovoltaïque, méthanisation,...).
Avec un chiffre d’affaires consolidé de 15M€ en 2019, Vendée Energie exploite à ce jour 8 parcs éoliens (65 MW) dont 7 en pleine propriété. A cela s'ajoute 61 centrales photovoltaïques sur toitures dont 6 au sol (30 MW). Vendée Energie accompagne par ailleurs le développement de projet méthanisation et co-investi aux côtés des agriculteurs dans les unités.
Forte de son retour d’expérience, Vendée Energie travaille aujourd'hui sur l’ensemble de la chaîne de valeur et a diversifié depuis 2017 son activité dans la production et la distribution de BioGNV puis d’Hydrogène vert, contribuant ainsi à une valorisation maîtrisée de l’énergie produite au cœur du territoire.
