Lomme s’est déclarée « Ville en TransitionS » en 2015 affichant un bousculement fondamental dans sa manière de concevoir la ville mais aussi la vie. Pierre angulaire du projet municipal, les transitions s’affichent dans toutes les politiques publiques mises en œuvre pour améliorer le bien-vivre de chacun :

> Apaiser la ville : rouler - vite, stationner sans gêner, sécuriser les rues
> S'engager durablement : créer le Quai des transitions, développer la biodiversité et la nature en ville, accompagner les Défis des habitants
> Transformer la ville ensemble : aller vers une ville + sobre (rénovation énergétique des bâtiments dont la piscine), imaginer avec les habitants, donner son avis, encourager les projets citoyens.
... ENGAGÉE POUR L'ÉGALITÉ DES CHANCES
Faire en sorte que les enfants disposent des mêmes chances, où qu’ils vivent, est le pilier de la politique éducative à Lomme. Pour l’égalité, des moyens importants sont déployés dès le plus jeune âge, tout au long de la scolarité et sur le temps périscolaire. Avec la semaine de 4.5 jours, Lomme marque la différence en France, pour le bien-être de l’enfant.
L’éducation, parce qu’elle est la priorité absolue, est le premier budget de la Ville. L’égalité, pour permettre à chacune et à chacun d’avoir sa place dans la société.
