L’AITF, forte de près de 3 500 membres, représente la plus ancienne et la plus grande communauté d'échanges et de capitalisation d'expériences au service de l'aménagement et du développement territorial. Chaque année, les Rencontres Nationales de l'Ingénierie Territoriale (RNIT), coorganisées par l'AITF et le CNFPT, sont l'occasion de débattre de sujets de fond et d'échanger sur les problématiques d'actualité.
En 2025, les RNIT auront lieu les 8 et 9 juillet à Toulouse sur la thématique "Une ingénierie territoriale ouverte et coopérative".
