    La Liga Argentina de Lucha Contra El Cáncer (LALCEC) es una Organización de la Sociedad Civil, creada el 22 de julio de 1921 por la señora Helena Larroque de Roffo quien ya, desde esa época afirmaba que la manera de combatir el cáncer es a través de la prevención y la detección temprana.

    Al igual que su fundadora, LALCEC es una organización fuerte, comprometida y dinámica, que participa de diferente redes con pares, empresas y gobiernos, teniendo presencia activa a nivel nacional e internacional.

    LALCEC tiene su sede central en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires y cuenta con más de 100 representaciones en todo el país, con las cuales trabaja conjuntamente en la lucha contra del cáncer.

    LALCEC organiza sus actividades mediante una Comisión Directiva integrada por profesionales, médicos y voluntarias que se nutren de un consejo asesor de proyectos y de un consejo médico. Es allí en donde se moldean las políticas de la institución que son canalizadas a través de un Director Ejecutivo y sus equipos de trabajo.

    La Liga Argentina de Lucha contra el Cáncer es una organización de la sociedad civil cuyo propósito es vencer al cáncer, trabajando día a día por rescatar miles de vidas a través de la educación, la detección temprana y la prevención de los 6 tipos de cánceres, que hasta ahora, son “prevenibles”: mama, ginecológico, colon, piel, pulmón y urológico.
