La Cantine numérique est un espace de travail ouverts, un tiers lieux numérique et physique. Elle a pour souhait de réunir tous les acteurs territoriaux de l'innovation numérique qui veulent travailler, monter des projets, brainstormer, créer des entreprises, en solitaire ou en collectif.
Lieu numerique de socialisation, laboratoire de l’innovation de rupture, la Cantine dessine un des dispositifs possibles de l’organisation du travail en entreprise, voire du statut du télétravailleur. C'est une nouvelle façon de concevoir la mobilité et l'agilité des salariés, une nouvelle manière de concevoir le développement durable, une nouvelle façon de travailler à distance ou collaborer. De nombreux profils s'y retrouvent pour travailler selon les valeurs entreprise, collaboration et convivialité : indépendants, autoentrepreneurs, détenteurs d'idées ou de compétences, associations et travailleurs en mobilité.
L’association Cantine de Brest aka An Daol Vras poursuit 3 missions principales :
- Proposer un espace virtuel et/ou physique d’animation, de travail et des outils mutualisés ;
- Favoriser l’information, la formation, l’appropriation, le débat et la pédagogie autour du numérique et de l’innovation par des événements de forme diverse ;
- Inciter l’émergence de projets collaboratifs liés au numérique et à l’innovation.
La Cantine numérique de Brest organise de nombreux événements comme Unlock Your Brain Harden Your System, le Startup Weekend Brest, la Devoxx4Kids, des visio-conférences, ciné-débats, hackathon, ateliers pratiques...
La Cantine et son réseau développe également des projets collaboratifs comme Cartomobilité, Remora ou la Grande Ecole du Numérique.
