    Under the blue, white, red cockade, the Patrouille de France, also called PAF (Patrouille Acrobatique de France) is a unit of the Air and Space Army presentation teams. Its mission is to be one of the ambassadors of the Air and Space Army in France and abroad and to represent all the airmen who work daily in our institution.

    As such, the representation mission requires these ambassadors to be available, rigorous and make a significant investment, both in flight and on the ground with a different rhythm between the winter season (training) and the summer season (air events). Its 9 pilots and 39 mechanics, all from the combat squadrons of the Air and Space Forces, are destined to return there after their time with the Patrouille de France.

    Considered one of the most prestigious aerobatic formations in the world, the Grande Dame has been flying in the sky with grace and elegance for 70 years. It traditionally opens the July 14 parade in Paris, but above all performs aerial demonstrations for the greatest number of people, designed as an air show.

    Sous la cocarde bleu, blanc, rouge, la Patrouille de France, appelée aussi PAF (Patrouille Acrobatique de France) est une unité des équipes de présentation de l’Armée de l’Air et de l'Espace. Sa mission est d’être une des ambassadrices de l’Armée de l’Air et de l'Espace en France comme à l’étranger et de représenter tous les aviateurs qui oeuvrent au quotidien dans notre institution.

    À ce titre, la mission de représentation impose à ces ambassadeurs une disponibilité, une rigueur et un investissement important, aussi bien en vol qu’au sol avec un rythme différent entre la saison hivernale (entraînements) et la saison estivale (manifestations aériennes). Ses 9 pilotes et 39 mécaniciens, tous issus des escadrons de combat de l’Armée de l’Air et de l'Espace, ont vocation à y retourner à l’issue de leur passage à la Patrouille de France.

    Considérée comme l’une des plus prestigieuses formations acrobatiques au monde, la Grande Dame évolue dans le ciel avec grâce et élégance depuis 70 ans. Elle ouvre traditionnellement le défilé du 14 Juillet à Paris, mais réalise avant tout des démonstrations aériennes à destination du plus grand nombre, conçues comme un spectacle aérien.
