    Workio's mission is to make work better.

    Workio helps organisations measure their internal environment and culture, then uses that information to help management teams to: improve internal management; improve recruitment by hiring for fit with existing internal environment and culture; and in mergers and acquisitions to obtain a clear view of potentially problematic areas of mismatched culture or environment during post-deal integration of the acquired company.

    We also partner with recruitment agencies to become part of their process, providing differentiation in a highly commoditised market and improving the outcomes for placements by addressing cultural fit explicitly; and with banks and professional advisory firms to improve the outcomes of M&A activity by exposing the potential issues around cultural integration post-transaction.

    Our proprietary measurement model is an anonymous employee survey comprising 50 questions across 10 categories with the 10 categories force-ranked in order of importance by each respondent. We also gather data on the gender, age bracket, tenure, geographical location, seniority, and team / department of each respondent. We can then break down and report on the results by these factors.

    There is also a much shorter, 12 question survey (which also includes the 10 category ranking) for candidates to match them against organisational environment and culture.

    Our model is based on these radical ideas: people are unique (and don't all want the same things out of work); each organisation is unique (and suit different kinds of people); matching people and organisations is not easy but can be hugely improved with data.

    Workio's survey captures a person's real experience of work and how (and to what extent) it differs from their ideal, and uses that data to make work better.
