SIDN is the registry of the .nl domain. We also share knowledge and solutions for online security and e-identity.

When you type a .nl domain name into your browser, we direct you to the right website. When you send an e-mail to a .nl address, we make sure that it can be delivered to the right mailbox. And the functional stability of the .nl domain is down to us. We register .nl domain names and ensure that the 5.8 million-plus registered names can be reached by internet users around the world. That involves processing more than 1.5 billion search queries every day. We also make digital living easier and safer by developing and delivering services and solutions based on innovative, secure domains and digital identities. Our research team SIDN Labs supports those activities by devising new technologies and systems that increase the stability and security of .nl, the DNS and the internet infrastructure. We are also directly or indirectly (through SIDN Fund) closely involved in numerous social initiatives designed to promote use of the internet or address its unwanted side-effects. In short, we are dedicated to secure and convenient digital living.
