Nomos Verlagsgesellschaft is one of the leading academic publishers in the fields of law, social sciences and the humanities. Across all subject areas, there is a particular focus on European and international issues. Nomos is therefore also a force to be reckoned with outside the German-speaking world - which is not only reflected in the steadily growing proportion of publications in English and other foreign languages.

Every year, more than 1,100 books and almost 80 journals are published - also in digital form: The complete academic programme has been available via the Nomos eLibrary since 2006, all current legal practitioner literature via the beck-online database.
