Young footballers and rugby players flourish on the Gravanches fields, and wrestlers in the Diderot Hall.

L'Association, créée en 1911 par Marcel Michelin et réservée, à l'origine, aux employés de la Manufacture, s'est ouverte depuis longtemps à son environnement. Les adhérents de l'ASM sont, aujourd'hui, représentatifs de la population clermontoise.
L'ASM Omnisports propose à près de 5.000 licenciés de nombreuses activités sportives au travers de 15 sections sportives et dans des infrastructures dont elle supporte le coût. Le mécénat de la Fondation Michelin permet de maintenir l'accès aux différentes activités pour les plus modestes, en fléchant tout particulièrement les enfants.
Les activités de l'ASM Omnisports sont réparties sur 3 sites. A La Gauthière se trouve regroupée la majorité des équipements sportifs : 5.000 m2 fonctionnels, des courts de tennis extérieurs et couverts, des salles de basket et multi-activités (1.200 m2), de gymnastique, d'éducation physique, de musculation, de judo, de boxe ultra-moderne, un terrain de foot entouré d'une piste d'athlétisme unique au monde en pneus recyclés, un centre de santé, un centre de formation, ainsi qu'un Club House, un foyer et le Campus Vitali. Les jeunes footballeurs et rugbymen s'épanouissent, eux, sur les terrains des Gravanches, et les lutteurs, dans la Salle Diderot.
