Ceux qui reçoivent et ceux qui soutiennent sont les mêmes - et tous s’enrichissent mutuellement. L’accueil y est inconditionnel. Le Secours populaire accepte, rapproche des personnes de toutes origines sociales, culturelles ou religieuses et fait appel à chacun de leurs talents.
Animateurs-collecteurs bénévoles comme partenaires, entreprises et donateurs, adultes comme enfants dès le plus jeune âge... tout le monde est invité à passer à l’action, à s'émanciper et à vivre la solidarité jour après jour.
Pour faire face à la ddétresse humaine, le Secours populaire accueille tous les talents, parce que tous sont utiles. Présent partout, au bout de la rue comme au bout du monde avec son réseau de partenaires, il valorise systématiquement l’initiative comme mode d’action. L’organisation de l’association est décentralisée et chaque animateur-collecteur bénévole peut ainsi agir : actions d’urgence, actions dans la durée, accompagnement global, sur les plans matériel, alimentaire, médical, moral, juridique, de formation, d’insertion sociale et professionnelle, d’accès au droit, à la culture et aux loisirs, au numérique, etc.
