Thousands of passengers travelling to/from London Stansted Airport today (15 Feb) are suffering unnecessary delays due to NATS Air Traffic Control staff shortages.
WE AGAIN CALL ON NATS CEO MARTIN ROLFE TO RESIGN!!️
It is completely unacceptable that passengers - many of whom are families heading away for the half-term break - are suffering unnecessary delays (up to 5hrs) due to NATS failure to provide adequate staff levels to manage traffic in/out of Stansted Airport on one of the busiest weekends of the year for travel.
Affected passengers will be notified and kept up to date via the Ryanair app. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused as a result of this latest NATS failure.
We were delighted to meet the new EU Transport Commissioner, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, and explain how Ryanair can continue to grow and offer affordable connectivity throughout Europe.
We also highlighted the need for EU Air Traffic Control system reform to prevent more unnecessary delays and cancellations, and to protect EU consumers. ✈️

This year we’ll provide even more low fares to visitors and citizens of the Abruzzo Region with 300k additional (+25%) seats and 5 new routes. And it’s all thanks to President Marsilio's decision to scrap the regressive municipal tax.
