The Rideau Hall Foundation is an independent and non-political charitable organization established to mobilize ideas, people, and resources across the country to tap into our national spirit and help realize our shared aspirations. We work in close collaboration with external partners to support initiatives that strengthen our identity, build capacity, and promote the advancement of a smart and caring nation.

The Rideau Hall Foundation was established during the Right Honourable David Johnston’s mandate as governor general of Canada to strengthen the ability of the Governor General to better serve Canadians through a range of initiatives linked to learning, leadership, giving, and innovation. Together we can do more.

La Fondation Rideau Hall est un organisme caritatif indépendant et apolitique qui a pour but de réunir des idées, des gens et des ressources de partout au pays, afin de refléter l’esprit qui nous anime et de réaliser nos aspirations communes. Nous travaillons en étroite collaboration avec des partenaires extérieurs pour soutenir des programmes qui façonnent notre identité, renforcent notre capacité d’action et favorisent l’avancement d’une nation avertie et bienveillante.

La Fondation Rideau Hall a été créée par le très honorable David Johnston durant son mandat à titre de gouverneur général du Canada, afin de soutenir le bureau du gouverneur général dans son engagement à bien servir la population canadienne par le biais d’un éventail de programmes axés sur le leadership, l’apprentissage, la générosité et l’innovation.
