5 years, 2 months agoAdvancing cancer epigenetics research today for a better cancer treatment tomorrow
The Cancer Epigenetics Society is the first and largest society solely dedicated to cancer epigenetics. With members from 150+ countries, the Cancer Epigenetics Society is also one of the largest international biomedical societies in the world. The Cancer Epigenetics Society promotes cancer and epigenetics research and supports cancer patients worldwide by working on several fronts: the society publishes six journals on the basic, translational, preclinical, and clinical aspects of cancer epigenetics, provides scientists with several cancer epigenetics databases, produces scientific and educational videos, reports news that can help better manage or reduce the risk of cancer, and provides access to cancer patient blogs, books, and advocacy and support groups in several languages. The Cancer Epigenetics Society also supports and organizes cancer and/or epigenetics meetings that bring together cancer and epigenetics experts from around the world to speed up progress in cancer epigenetics research and help expedite transfer of discoveries from the bench to the bedside. The Cancer Epigenetics Society also awards prizes to the best cancer epigenetics research published in its journals. The society operates mostly with volunteers (scientists and non-scientists) and all and any donations to the society are entirely used to promote cancer epigenetics research and support cancer patient services. Leading scientists and physicians at leading universities, research centers, and hospitals are providing stewardship and direction to the Society, ensuring that it effectively and swiftly impacts research and healthcare. The society welcomes applications for membership year-round.
