In the immediate vicinity of the city centre, the Manège, Scène Nationale-Reims includes a 475-seat theater and a permanent 800-seat circus. This exceptional complex built in the second half of the 19th century testifies to the history of the city and its presence in the present by welcoming living and contemporary forms on a daily basis as well as a public curious to discover them.

A live performance space directed by Bruno Lobé since the start of the 2015 school year, the Manège leads a multidisciplinary project dedicated to the arts of movement such as dance, circus, puppetry and the forms located at the crossroads of these disciplines. This "100% movement" orientation strongly distinguishes it at national, regional and local level.

As a national stage labeled by the State, the Manège's mission is to support creation by asserting itself as a place of artistic production of reference in the field of live performance, to offer a multidisciplinary program by favoring contemporary creation, to participate in the cultural dynamics of its territory and to promote access to culture for the population taken in its greatest diversity, this by relying on an important program of cultural actions. The Manège's field of activity is both local - in the city and its neighborhoods and in rural areas - as well as national and international.

All these actions are based on a strong artistic presence, with an associated company for three years and five artists in companionship for the 2022/2023 season.
