The Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority (DPFZA) governs the administration, directives and operational management of Djibouti’s ports, infrastructure, and special economic zones.
Djibouti is at the centre of global trade routes, on two of the three busiest shipping routes in the world. We connect Africa to Asia and Europe.
The DPFZA’s mission is to establish Djibouti as a trade and transport hub for Africa, and improve the ease of doing business for our partners operating in the region.
We have played a leading role a $15 billion infrastructure investment programme, which includes the development of new world-class port facilities, the opening of the Addis Ababa-Djibouti railway, and the establishment of the Djibouti International Free Trade Zone (DIFTZ) – which will be the largest of its kind in Africa.
