IRD is an international not-for-profit organization based in Singapore, with IRD country affiliates registered in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.
We leverage process and technology innovations to develop, implement, and scale cost-effective, evidence-based, and high-impact solutions to stubborn health challenges and health inequities. We strive to expand patient and community access to mass screening, testing, treatment and prevention programs for infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, mental health and surgical care. We work to facilitate treatment adherence and improvements in quality of life outcomes. We invest in bridging communication between healthcare providers and patients through innovative partnerships with communities, private providers, universities, governments, and non-governmental organizations.
We help build local leaders from community volunteers and front-line health workers and train and guide technical staff from the countries we work in towards world-class expertise and international networks. For us, 'the Global South' is home.
We enable robust program monitoring and evaluation systems. Our teams have pioneered open source information technology innovations in mass health screening and immunization registration mobile health applications, interactive messaging systems, digital conditional cash incentives for patients, caregivers and health workers, electronic medical records, and civil registration and vital statistics systems.
IRD has over 15 years of experience in multi-country proposal development, grant management and implementation, and over five years of experience supporting multi-country request for proposals and award management in global health delivery and research.
The IRD network has USD 100 million of active global health grants as of 2023.
