Numerical Simulations for the Geosystems of the Energy Transition
Net-Zero Geosystems (NZG) specialises in predictive numerical modelling for reservoirs and wells in the context of industrial CO2 storage. This expertise is extremely valuable for developing storage projects as NZG can optimize CO2 injection strategies for safe and cost-efficient CO2 injection. This enables injection rates to be maximised whilst keeping the reservoir seal stable and preventing CO2 leaks, induced seismicity and aquifer contamination. NZG’s expertise and predictive tools have been developed in collaboration with Imperial College London, TotalEnergies and the Spanish Institute IDAEA. NZG boasts a strong network of experts in the UK, France and Spain who can be leveraged to develop a robust underpinning evidence base. This can help CO2 storage projects obtain regulatory approval to deliver effective and low-risk storage.
