Si les vacances sont un droit pour tous, ce droit est loin d’être acquis. En France, ce sont 3 millions d’enfants qui ne sont pas partis en vacances en 2018. Le constat est navrant... Le thème des vacances est donc plus que jamais d’actualité. C’est le cœur de métier de Vacances & Familles, une association fondée en 1962 qui propose à des familles aux revenus modestes de partir en vacances à bas coût. Plus de 4500 personnes ont pu bénéficier de vacances en 2019, dont 2800 enfants issus de plus de 60 départements en France.
Depuis plus de 60 ans, l’association Vacances & Familles favorise l’accès aux vacances pour tous et en particulier aux familles.
Elle leur propose des solutions de vacances solidaires : non seulement l’hébergement et les animations sur place mais aussi et surtout un accompagnement avant, pendant et après leur séjour.
Elle s’appuie sur un réseau de bénévoles et de salariés engagés au cœur des territoires qui permet aux familles bénéficiaires de partir et de vivre leur séjour dans les meilleures conditions.
La diversité de l’offre de séjour permet de proposer à chaque famille la formule
la plus proche de ses aspirations.
Pour une famille, ne pas partir en vacances est souvent synonyme de solitude,
de repli sur soi et de perte de confiance.
Les vacances permettent au contraire de s’évader et de resserrer les liens familiaux par des échanges, des rencontres et des activités collectives.
