Description
  • Value proposition

Healthy, happy people living active and connected lives

The Active Wellbeing Society exists to tackle inequalities and promote community wellbeing through a variety of free, co-produced interventions and activities such as Big Feed Project, Share Shacks (Library of Things), Active Streets, Big Bike Project, and social prescribing. Guided by innovation, collaboration and insight, we engage with communities, particularly those from the most deprived areas, to do the social and systems knitting required to challenge the status quo and disrupt the balance of power. We work with partners to disrupt and transform systems and carry out organisational and service design from a values-based perspective. We offer consultancy and training ranging from one-off away days to bespoke, ongoing programmes of support to understand and influence system change. By working with people, and not doing to, we co-produce interventions that break down barriers and rebuild the social fabric for us all to live happy, healthy and connected lives.
We work nationally, across the UK. Our Registered Head Office is Birmingham.
