Situé au coeur du Boulonnais à une trentaine de kilomètres du tunnel sous la Manche, à deux heures des côtes anglaises et à 150 kilomètres de la Belgique, la Communauté de Communes de Desvres-Samer (CCDS) a vu le jour le 1er janvier 2009, suite à la fusion entre la Communauté de Communes du Pays de la Faïence de Desvres et la Communauté de Communes de Samer et Environs.
