Prevención, Formación e Información para salvar vidas.
La Asociación Profesional de Técnicos de Bomberos la constituyen en 1990 un grupo de profesionales cuyas responsabilidades, funciones e intereses se desarrollan en el ámbito de los servicios de Protección contra Incendios y Salvamentos.
Hoy agrupa a la gran mayoría de los Jefes, Mandos y Técnicos de los Servicios de Bomberos españoles, que pretenden que la APTB sea el vehículo de expresión de opiniones autorizadas y de experiencias en el mundo de la Protección Contra Incendios, la Emergencia y la Seguridad.
La APTB es miembro fundador de la FEU (Federación Europea de Asociaciones de Oficiales de Bomberos), siendo España el país que más veces ha acogido reuniones de la FEU y uno de los más activos.
Ha liderado proyecto de Formación de Bomberos para la Defensa del Medio Ambiente dentro del Programa LIFE de la Comisión Europea.
La APTB, en representación de la FEU, ha liderado el proyecto FEUCARE, de estudio europeo de las condiciones de acceso y carrera profesional del bombero en el seno del programa LEONARDO de la Unión Europea, y ha participado como socio en el proyecto FEUCARE 2.
Ha participado en el proyecto EFVS que sienta las bases del diseño curricular de los estudios de la carrera de bombero en Europa.
Actualmente participa en el proyecto SAFEHOTEL.
