Actran, Hexagon's acoustic software solution, has lead numerous technology trends of vibro-acoustic and aero-acoustic modeling since 1998, when the company was founded by Prof. Jean-Pierre Coyette and Prof. Jean-Louis Migeot, two renowned pioneers in the domain of numerical acoustics.

Today, Actran is chosen by its clients for both its powerful general purpose simulation features (Actran Acoustics, Vibro-Acoustics and Aero-Acoustics modules) and its unique capabilities to address to specific industrial needs (Actran TM & Actran DGM for aircraft engine noises, Actran for Nastran for NVH issues of trimmed vehicle bodies).
