Thanks to the incredible generosity of Vermilion employees, we were able to purchase gifts and gift cards for children, teens, and adults staying at the Inn from the Cold's shelter and housing units. A l’occasion de la 13ème édition de la Semaine de l’Industrie 2024, tout l’écosystème industriel était invité à ouvrir ses portes, montrer ses savoir-faire, valoriser ses salariés et ses métiers, parler aux jeunes de leur avenir et leur donner envie d’industrie. Oui, l’industrie propose des métiers d’avenir, des carrières passionnantes, formatrices, ainsi que des opportunités d’explorer l’international et les nouvelles technologies !

Comme elle le fait depuis bientôt 10 ans, Vermilion a saisi cette opportunité de maintenir un lien avec le monde académique, et de montrer et démontrer que l’industrie pétrolière s’investit pour relever les grands défis sociétaux, environnementaux et énergétiques, d’aujourd’hui et de demain. Vermilion est une entreprise responsable, innovante, engagée dans la décarbonation, ancrée dans les territoires, et qui permet de contribuer à répondre à certains besoins du quotidien des français, comme se chauffer, se soigner, se déplacer, se loger, s’habiller, ...

Cette édition aura également été l’occasion d’asseoir deux partenariats à plus long terme avec des établissements scolaires, notamment par la signature d’une « convention-cadre » avec le Lycée des Métiers Condorcet à Arcachon (Gironde) ou encore la planification d’actions sur l’année scolaire avec le Lycée Polyvalent Saint-Exupéry de Parentis-en-Born (Landes).

For the 13th edition of the “Semaine de l'Industrie 2024” (the Week of Industry”), the entire industrial ecosystem was invited to open its doors, showcase its know-how, promote its employees and jobs, talk to young people about their future and inspire them to get involved in industry. Yes, industry offers jobs with a future, exciting and formative careers, as well as opportunities to explore international markets and new technologies!

As it has done for nearly 10 years, Vermilion has seized this opportunity to maintain a link with the academic world, and to show and demonstrate that the oil industry is committed to meeting the major societal, environmental and energy challenges of today and tomorrow. Vermilion is a responsible, innovative company, committed to decarbonization and rooted in its local communities, helping to meet some of the everyday needs of French people, such as heating, healthcare, transport, housing, clothing, etc.

This year's event also provided an opportunity to establish two longer-term partnerships with schools, notably through the signing of a “framework agreement” with the Lycée des Métiers Condorcet in Arcachon (Gironde), and the planning of actions over the school year with the Lycée Polyvalent Saint-Exupéry in Parentis-en-Born (Landes).
