Present in Norway since 1963, Institut français de Norvège is a central actor in Franco-Norwegian cultural, scientific, academic and educational cooperation.

Institut français de Norvège's missions are:

- to develop a network of partnerships in the cultural and artistic, linguistic, scientific and academic fields;
- to facilitate Franco-Norwegian cooperation through exchange programs, organisation of seminars and project support;
- to promote the French language through exchanges in schools and universities.
