The Water Economy Forum is an initiative sponsored by the University of Alcalá (UAH) and led by a group of academics within the framework of the program of activities to commemorate the IV Centenary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes, born in the city of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), home of the University.

El Foro de la Economía del Agua es una iniciativa auspiciada por la Universidad de Alcalá (UAH) y liderada por un grupo de académicos en el marco del programa de actividades en conmemoración del IV Centenario de la muerte de Miguel de Cervantes, nacido en la ciudad de Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), sede de la Universidad.
Nuestra sociedad asiste a múltiples retos siendo algunos de trascendencia crítica para nuestro porvenir: el agua es, desde diferentes vertientes, parte prioritaria de la agenda política mundial y de la europea en particular.
Este Foro tiene por objetivo promover un espacio independiente de reflexión y diálogo sobre el ciclo urbano del agua desde la óptica de su gestión, de cara a abordar diferentes desafíos que enfrenta el sector y que son de la máxima actualidad y prioridad, no solo en España sino a nivel mundial.
