An essential flagship monument in Paris'​ heritage, Palais Brongniart was built by the architect Brongniart at the instigation of Napoleon Bonaparte. Inaugurated in 1826, the location served as the lungs of the financial activities of the 19th century, aiding the expansion of the railways, the steel industry and the great industrial adventures until 1996, the year in which the Stock Exchange at Palais Brongniart was closed.

Today, Palais Brongniart is one of the foremost convention and events centres in Paris. It carries a philosophy of actions based on economic, social and equitable innovation, a project led by the GL events group, one of the international leaders of events spaces management, and with the City of Paris, the building's owner.
