Because working in the arts should not be a privilege
Inc Arts champion the creative, contractual and economic rights of the UK's African, Asian, Caribbean and ethnically diverse arts sector workforce. We make inclusive change in the arts and cultural sector. Our vision is to create a thriving cultural community that allows everyone to do their best work.
The focus of our business is on the 'teams behind the scenes'. This means those who work in roles off-stage and support creative production. We work across performing arts (music, dance, theatre), visual arts, collections, heritage, archive, combined and outdoor arts.
We recognise that the experience of marginalisation takes a toll on people's mental health. That is why we have created Inc Arts Minds. This service provides free emotional wellbeing support for ethnically diverse people who work in the creative industries – those who bear the burden of the racism of others.
