Ancrée dans le territoire, elle est composée de professionnels de l’agriculture (agriculteurs, techniciens, cadres), tous membres d’organisations paysannes françaises. Les moyens privilégiés par Afdi sont les échanges professionnels entre pairs et le partage de savoir-faire, qui favorisent l’autonomie des paysans, métier le plus touché par la pauvreté à l’échelle mondiale.
