    Plurielles et engagées, les Rencontres chorégraphiques internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis présentent des œuvres portant un regard sensible et poétique sur notre monde en constant évolution.
    Elles s’inscrivent dans le prolongement d’une dynamique initiée conjointement par la ville de Bagnolet, le Département de la Seine-Saint-Denis et l’État, avec la création en 1987 du Centre international de Bagnolet pour les œuvres chorégraphiques, lui-même issu des Ballets pour demain. En 1995, le Concours de Bagnolet est rebaptisé Rencontres chorégraphiques internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis et devient à partir de 2003 un festival annuel nomade. Dès 1999, des projets d’actions artistiques et culturelles sont mis en place sur le territoire pour répandre la danse auprès des habitant·e·s et des publics. En 2021, Frédérique Latu est nommée directrice et met en place plusieurs nouveaux projets qui visent à cultiver le dialogue et la proximité avec les spectateur·rice·s : les Extensions, Playground, le réseau PLAY et BOOST.
