Mit Feelfarbig möchten wir uns von anderen deutschen Tattoo-Websites abheben. Hierzu versuchen wir einen anderen Blickwinkel auf Tätowierungen und Tätowierer zu ermöglichen. Statt von oben herab, soll ein Austausch auf Augenhöhe stattfinden. Tattoos sind nicht irgendwelche Internetbilder, die jemandes Haut verzieren, sondern individuell angefertigte Kunstwerke. Tätowierer sind nicht nur irgendwelche Leute, die die Tätowiermaschine schwingen, sondern ernst zu nehmende Künstler.
Vor allem innerhalb der letzten Jahre bildete sich ein riesiger Hype um Tattoos. Ein Hype, der vor allem zu einem führte: Wirklich jeder hat eine Meinung zu Tattoos und deren Träger. Als Tätowierter wird man deshalb häufig mit Vorurteilen konfrontiert. Tätowierte sind kriminell, unseriös und höchst wahrscheinlich arbeitslos, denn SO kriegt man doch niemals einen Job! Diese und andere Klischees halten sich noch bis heute hartnäckig. Doch wer kann es den Leuten verübeln?
Im Kiosk springt einem das Cover einer Tattoo-Zeitschrift ins Auge: Eine halbnackte Frau, die lediglich ihren Körper – und nicht ihre Tattoos – erotisch in Pose wirft. Im Fernsehen laufen geskriptete Sendungen, in denen tätowierte Personen die Rolle des kompletten Vollidioten einnehmen. Alternativ berichtet man über das Covern von Fehltritten und setzt den Fokus darauf, wie diese Fehltritte denn zustande kamen. Oft war natürlich “jugendlicher Leichtsinn” oder Alkohol im Spiel. So bleibt das negative Bild vom asozialen Klischee-Tätowierten in den Köpfen bestehen.
Mit Feelfarbig versuchen wir den Fokus auf das zu legen, worum es bei Tattoos eigentlich gehen sollte: Kunst auf Haut. Kein Sexismus, keine Massenproduktion, keine Klischees – sondern Kunst. Kunst, die vorurteilslos auch als solche anerkannt werden sollte. Kunst, die eben nicht als billige Farbkopie an der Wand im Wohnzimmer hängt. Kunst, die einen durchs Leben begleitet und mit einem zusammen alt wird. Eine ganz andere Art von Kunst als üblich eben.
