    The Ilmenau SME Digital Center provides digitization you can touch with practical demonstration and implementation projects. It supports regional companies in implementing solutions for specific problems in their companies.     Das Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Ilmenau liefert mit praxisnahen Demonstrations- und Umsetzungsprojekten Digitalisierung zum Anfassen. Es unterstützt regionale Unternehmen bei der Umsetzung von Lösungen für konkrete Probleme in den Betrieben. Aufgrund überwiegend kleinteilig strukturierter Unternehmen in der Region kommt der Digitalisierung von Geschäftsprozessen und der engeren Vernetzung eine besondere Bedeutung zu. So sollen die Stärken gut geführter kleinerer und mittlerer Unternehmen zum gegenseitigen Nutzen intelligent verbunden werden. Ferner gilt es, Arbeitsplätze in der Region und die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu sichern.

    Vier Modellfabriken an den Standorten Ilmenau, Jena und Schmalkalden zeigen dazu vorbildliche digitale Produktionslösungen zum Ausprobieren. Die insgesamt 20 Mitarbeiter des Zentrums unterstützen Firmen durch Veranstaltungen, Workshops, Projekte und Expertenkontakte. Überdies bietet das Zentrum Produkte und Dienstleistungen an, die Kleinbetriebe unter konventioneller Arbeitsweise nicht realisieren können. Denn ein Plus an Zeit, Technologien und Ressourcen verbessert nicht nur das Innovationspotential. Es ermöglicht auch Produktentwicklungen, Großaufträge oder Serviceangebote, um für die Märkte von morgen besser aufgestellt zu sein.

    Alle Angebote des Zentrums sind dank der Förderung durch das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz für Firmen kostenlos.
