Club majeur du handball féminin français, avec notamment deux victoires en coupe de France en 2006 et 2007 et une en coupe d'Europe en 2012. Le HAC Handball compte retrouver rapidement la Ligue Féminine de Handball.
Le Havre Athletic Club de Handball participe activement depuis plus de 20 ans au développement social des quartiers du Havre, notamment celui de Caucriauville, en privilégiant l’éducation et la formation par la pratique du handball. Le sport participe au développement de l’enfant sur le plan physique et psychologique, il donne sens aux valeurs sociales et civiques qui permettent l’éducation des futurs citoyens. Le HAC Handball propose, en loisir ou en compétition, de pratiquer le handball aux Gymnases Edouard Vaillant et Jehan Grouchy.
