    COAI was constituted in 1995 as a registered, non-governmental society. The Association is dedicated to the advancement of modern communication through the establishment of world-class mobile infrastructure, products and services and to delivering the benefits of innovative and affordable mobile communication services to the people of India.

    COAI has emerged as the official voice of the Indian telecom industry that interacts directly with ministries, policy makers, regulators, financial institutions and technical bodies. It provides a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas between these bodies and the service providers, who share a common interest in the development of mobile telephony in the country.

    COAI is determined to encourage the advancement and adoption of technologies to achieve progress, overcome challenges and help India realize the vision of becoming a globally leading Digital Economy and Information Society.

    COAI aims to dispense information and spread awareness among the national and international entities and consumers on important and relevant issues pertaining to service quality, cybersecurity, consumer welfare and other services provided to the subscribers.

    COAI's core membership includes private cellular operators, namely - Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea, operating across the whole country.

    Our Associate Members include – Act Fibernet, Aces, Ciena, Cisco, Connect, ECI, Ericsson, Facebook, Google, Huawei, Indus Towers, Juniper Networks, Qualcomm, Meta, Nokia, Red Hat, Ribbon Communications, Smart Play, Tata Tele Business Services and ZTE.
