SOS Faim est une ONG de développement qui lutte contre la pauvreté en milieu rural. Elle soutient, dans un esprit de partenariat, des associations du Sud développant leurs propres projets en vue d’améliorer les conditions de vie des populations locales.
Notre vision: un monde sans faim
Près d’un milliard de personnes souffrent de la faim, dont deux tiers sont des paysans et leur famille qui vivent principalement dans les pays en développement. Ces familles n’ont pas accès à une alimentation suffisante et de qualité, avant tout parce qu’elles sont pauvres. SOS Faim soutient l'agriculture paysanne afin de combattre cette situation inacceptable.
Notre mission : supporter l’agriculture paysanne et ses acteurs afin de réduire durablement la faim et la pauvreté en milieu rural.
Le Volet Sud de nos actions : soutenir l’agriculture paysanne et ses acteurs dans les pays en développement en leur donnant les moyens de mener des actions concrètes et efficaces pour améliorer leurs revenus de manière pérenne et défendre leurs intérêts. SOS Faim soutient plus particulièrement les organisations paysannes ainsi que les institutions de microfinance. Notre soutien est financier, technique et organisationnel.
Le Volet Nord de nos actions : sensibiliser et mobiliser les populations du Nord afin d’influencer les politiques ayant un impact sur la faim et la pauvreté dans les pays en développement.
