Tankesmien Agenda jobber kunnskapsbasert for et samfunn med reell frihet for alle. Det forutsetter små forskjeller, like muligheter, høy tillit og sterke demokratiske institusjoner. Alle skal ha frihet og mulighet til å delta i samfunnsliv, hverdagsliv og arbeidsliv på like vilkår, uavhengig av hvor man kommer fra, hvem man er og hvilke ressurser man har. En rettferdig samfunnsutvikling forutsetter fortsatt vekst og velferd – innenfor rammen av klimamålene og naturens tåleevne.
Tankesmien Agenda ble opprettet etter initiativ fra Landsorganisasjonen i Norge (LO) i 2014, som en uavhengig tankesmie.
