SPACE is London's oldest and largest artist studios provider, supporting 800+ artists in 21 studio buildings across 8 London boroughs and Colchester.
We support professional visual artists and creatives in a number of ways: by providing affordable spaces in which to work; offering professional development training; facilitating collaborations between artists and the communities living near our studio sites; and through advocating for the sector as whole.
Founded in 1968 by Bridget Riley and Peter Sedgley, SPACE's core mission is to enable professional artists to remain creating and working in London. We aim to increase the diversity of creative practitioners and to ensure that they are fully valued at the heart of society.
