Créée en 1946 et reconnue d’utilité publique en 1947, la Fondation Mines Paris est l’une des plus anciennes fondations dédiées à l’enseignement supérieur en France. Elle a pour mission de soutenir le développement et le rayonnement à l’international de l’École des Mines de Paris. Au travers de bourses sur critères sociaux, d’aides à la mobilité internationale et de financements de thèses, la Fondation a pour objectifs de promouvoir la recherche scientifique au meilleur niveau académique et de faire de l’École un acteur majeur de l’innovation. D’une façon plus générale, elle suscite l’essor du monde industriel et économique, et des professions qui s’y rattachent, en conformité avec les intérêts généraux du pays.
