The Labex Ittem - Innovations and territorial transitions in the mountains - federates researchers from nine laboratories in the field of human and social sciences and contributes to the dialogue between the disciplines for a global approach: history, geography, sociology, economics, law, management sciences, sports sciences, communication.

Le Labex ITTEM - Innovations et Transitions Territoriales en Montagne – fédère des chercheurs issus de neuf laboratoires dans le champ des sciences humaines et sociales et contribue au dialogue entre les disciplines pour une approche globale : histoire, géographie, sociologie, économie, droit, sciences de gestion, sciences du sport, communication.
La recherche participative, associant chercheurs et société civile, est au cœur des travaux soutenus par le Labex ITTEM. Avec toujours, en ligne de mire, la volonté d’accompagner l’action publique en montagne par des projets co-construits dans une perspective de développement soutenable.
Au-delà des montagnes françaises, le Labex ITTEM veut renforcer la dimension internationale de ses actions et ambitionne de devenir un centre de référence de recherche sur la montagne.
Le Labex ITTEM, c’est :
• 9 laboratoires des Universités Grenoble-Alpes et Savoie-Mont-Blanc et de l’Institut national de recherche pour l’agriculture, l’alimentation et l’environnement (INRAE).
• Au niveau national, un Laboratoire d’Excellence créé en 2011 et placé sous la tutelle du Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) et de l’Agence nationale pour la recherche (ANR).
• Un conseil scientifique garantissant la qualité des travaux, et un comité de pilotage intégrant les représentants des collectivités territoriales et du monde socio-économique.
• Un nouveau projet pour la période 2020-2024, une gouvernance renouvelée et une équipe-support étoffée.
• Un fil rouge : interdisciplinarité, co-construction, recherche participative, formation, coopération internationale.
